Knowi Apps — operational apps built on governed business data

Knowi Announces Knowi Apps: Custom Applications Built for Enterprise Workflows

Knowi Apps bring data, insights, decisions and actions together in applications built for the way each enterprise operates.

OAKLAND, CA, September 21, 2026. Knowi today announced Knowi Apps, a new offering that gives enterprises custom operational applications built around their specific teams and workflows. Each app connects directly to the company’s existing data and business systems, showing teams what is happening, why it is happening and what requires action, all in one place.

Enterprises typically operate across systems acquired separately for sales, finance, customer support, operations and other functions. Knowi Apps bring that work into an application without requiring companies to replace their existing systems or undertake a major data migration.

Each Knowi App combines live data, business context, AI-generated insights and governed actions. Teams can investigate an issue, review recommended next steps and take action from within the app. Knowi then writes the action back to the appropriate CRM, ERP, ticketing, billing, email or collaboration system.

How Knowi Apps Work

Every Knowi App is built on three layers:

  • The data layer connects directly to enterprise data where it lives.
  • The logic layer provides a governed semantic model of the enterprise, defining what its data means, how its operations work, who owns each responsibility and what should take priority.
  • The action layer carries out decisions, writes them back to the relevant systems of record and maintains an attributed record of each action.

Together, these layers give teams a live view of their part of the business across connected systems, an explanation of what is driving current conditions and a prioritized list of what requires attention. Teams can then take action from the same application.

Built and Used Inside Knowi

Knowi runs its own sales, marketing and customer-success operations through KnightRider, an application built using the same approach. KnightRider connects Knowi’s Salesforce pipeline, customer records, Google Analytics, outbound platform and Slack.

The application gives each team a live view of the business, including open opportunities, inbound performance, revenue, renewals, churn risk, account coverage and past-due balances. It also supports operational actions: approved accounts can be sent directly to Knowi’s outbound platform, while call transcripts and related information are delivered through Slack. No source system was replaced to build it.

How It Is Built

Knowi connects directly to the systems an enterprise already runs on, including data warehouses, SQL and NoSQL databases, APIs, files, documents and streams. It can combine data across those systems at the point of the question, without requiring a new centralized warehouse or wholesale migration of the company’s data.

Knowi’s team works with each enterprise to define the workflow, connect the relevant systems and deliver the operational application. Knowi Apps can be deployed in the cloud, within a private network or fully on premises.

“Business intelligence gets you to dashboards and insights. It tells users what is happening, but leaves them to figure out what to do next. Knowi Apps changes that. We use AI to build applications around the way each customer actually works: move from insights directly to decisions, workflows and actions, all on top of secure, governed enterprise data. The early feedback has been incredible. I can’t wait to see what our customers do with it.”
