What the Progress Acquisition Changes (and What It Does Not)
On July 22, 2026, Progress Software and Domo signed an asset purchase agreement covering substantially all of Domo’s platform business, employees, and customer relationships, for approximately $400 million. Can Power BI Alone Replace Domo?

Alerting. Native Power BI data alerts can only be set on gauges, KPIs, and cards pinned to dashboards, and each alert is personal to the user who created it, per Microsoft’s alert documentation. Data preparation. Below F64, report viewers generally need Power BI Pro at $14 per user per month; at F64 and above, viewers are free and only publishers need Pro.
