Here is the actual setup we document for the Knowi NetSuite connector, and it applies to any OAuth 2.0 integration. A NetSuite admin creates an Integration Record under Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations, enables the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Grant with REST Web Services scope, and sets the redirect URI. The connecting user’s role needs the “REST Web Services” and “Log in using OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens” permissions.
Two details trip people up in practice. Sandbox account IDs use a hyphen format like 1234567-sb1, not underscores. And access tokens last 60 minutes with 7-day refresh tokens, so your BI layer must handle token refresh automatically or dashboards silently die after a week.
